I reached there by nearly 2 PM; the museum was closed but the fort was open. There is no entry ticket at all. There is a beach opposite the fort make sure to visit. Literally, I was the only one in the entire fort which make me feel like I'm the king 😄. It's a good place for photoholics.

Entry free, great scenes at sunrise . Peaceful place 2hrs for fort and few more hours can be spent at sorrounding , beach and sohar souq

Impressive Fort. Extremely tidy and parking outside. There is little to inspect inside, we expected it to be more like a museum, maybe examples of older cultural traditional art, clothing, examples of living at that time period, items unique to Omani heritage.
